The “11 for Health” program was firstly launched in 2009 as part of FIFA’s medical legacy to Africa on the occasion of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Aimed at improving children’s physical fitness, health knowledge and lifestyle, this program has been implemented globally. For the first time, “11 for Health” program is introduced to Pakistan. It is conducted in collaboration with experts of sports science from the University of Southern Denmark.
To implement and promote the “11 for Health in Pakistan” initiative, the project team has built positive working relationships with professional sports teams, universities, primary and secondary schools, and local government departments to publicize the project locally and investigate ways to efficiently combine resources from all stakeholders to facilitate the project’s continued development in Pakistan.
