Awaab's Role

Being a football athlete himself, Awaab serves as a coach in the project. Having just started his coaching career, Awaab is passionate about exploring engaging coaching methods to ignite children’s interest in playing football and cultivate their habits to engage in physical activities regularly to maintain health and fitness. Awaab is fully aware of the vital role that physical education and sports activities play in children’s overall development and well-being.

“In Pakistan, there is so far no concept of physical education which is essential for the development of a child. Therefore, 11 for Health is a great initiative developed by FIFA. This project can really help developing countries like Pakistan to adopt it as a mature curriculum to fill the gap in our current education system.”

Introduction of M. Awaab Abdullah

Awaab currently works as a coach at the National Football Academy, specializing in training the under-12 age group. His journey in professional football began seven years ago. As he honed his football skills, Awaab actively played for various clubs in Pakistan, benefiting from the expertise of top players and coaches across the country. In 2021, he participated in the junior premier league at the district level and won the Player of the Tournament award during the Azadi Cup tournament. Awaab’s strengths lie in directing play during offensive moves and adapting swiftly to designated formations.

Recently, Awaab completed his matriculation exams this year and is set to begin his FSc studies in the coming months.
