Introduction of Farman Ullah

Farman Ullah, a dedicated scholar and practitioner in the field of Physical Education and Sports Training, is currently pursuing his PhD at the Shanghai University of Sport in China. His research primarily focuses on the physical fitness of children and adolescents, with a special interest in school sports.

Over the years, Mr. Ullah has committed himself to promoting the physical and mental development of children through a diverse range of indoor and outdoor activities. He holds a certification in Motor Skill Learning for children aged 3-7 and is also a trained coach in football fitness, having received training and certification from the University of Southern Denmark.

Farman consistently aspires to bridge the education gap between Pakistan and the world’s leading standards. His efforts are focused on bringing advanced educational methodologies from developed countries to Pakistan, with a particular emphasis on physical education. While exploring in-depth the Football is Medicine and 11 for Health concepts, Farman has always hoped to implement these concepts into the ground in Pakistan. In pursuit of this objective, he has traveled to the United States and Europe, participating in conferences and training sessions. Additionally, he has built partnerships with a globally renowned team of experts in physical education and sports science from Denmark. Farman perceives it as an urgent necessity to cultivate the awareness and habits of physical activities in Pakistani children, and to address the research gaps.

Currently, Mr. Ullah is leading the
“11 for Health in Pakistan” project. This initiative is a school-based football fitness curriculum developed by FIFA, targeting children aged 9-13. The program leverages football training as a powerful tool to convey health messages, thereby improving children’s health profiles, physical fitness, and health consciousness.
