11 for Health in Pakistan is Advancing Its Implementation in Partnership with Australian Football League Pakistan (AFLP)

Approved by Mr. Shams Tauheed Abbasi, the District Sports Officer of Rawalpindi, the “11 for Health in Pakistan” project has officially established a partnership with the Australian Football League Pakistan (AFLP). The AFLP members will serve as volunteer coaches for the project, carrying out physical fitness testing and the 11-week football course.

The AFLP athletes, who are national and international players with a wealth of competition experience, engage not only in daily Australian football training but also frequently participate in a variety of ball games, including football, basketball, volleyball, hockey, and cricket. The athletes of the AFLP have shown a keen interest in joining international projects, viewing it as an opportunity to expand their horizons and boost their overall competitiveness.

Prior to the commencement of the pre-test, Mr. Farman Ullah, the project initiator and principal investigator of the “11 for Health in Pakistan” project, provided training sessions on physical tests for the coaches. In these sessions, he explained in detail the methods for conducting various physical tests, including blood pressure measurement, standing long-jump, Stork balance test, agility test, 30-meter sprint, and YYIR1C test.
